A print-on-demand publisher, just as a traditional print-run
publisher, must not publish everything it is offered. In being selective it creates list
integrity.
A publisher’s willingness to be selective in the books it
accepts to publish will control the quality of its list. That consistency of quality will
have an effect on a buyer’s perception of any book that publisher publishes. It is
the aim of galvanizing that effect that guides YBK’s selection process.
The wonderful result of POD being an inexpensive method to publish is that the POD
publisher can be selective on the basis of quality, not sales potential!
